Writing in the Sand

A great morning spent at Inverewe Gardens with essential chocolate rations to hand. We spent the afternoon on the beach again at Gruinard Bay. There was not a cloud to be seen in the perfectly blue sky and as the children played in the sea I walked along the tide line collecting shells. As the tide moved further out I explored the beaches further along and found some beautiful whole heart urchins (sea potatoes). The children joined me and we had a wonderful time, the girls scampering ahead looking for more treasures. Rowan found a beautiful red urchin which rounded off another perfect day :)
