Song Thrush

Turdus philomelos

The nesting season is over for the thrushes. I haven't heard one sing for several weeks. This solitary bird spends much of the day on my front lawn or among the shrubs and trees skirting it. While it is rather secretive it is more likely to run under a bush than fly away if approached.
