Lunatic

Glad I waited before uploading today or I'd have missed this. A picture of my old man, Earthwatcher, braving the cold.

I'd just come back from a nice dinner date with the girlfriend and noticed the moon surrounded by spooky, 'Scooby Doo' mist. I asked dad if I could borrow his camera and telephoto lens so I could photograph it, to which he replied "Everyone's taking pictures of the moon at the moment, grump grump grump". Five minutes later and he's out with all his gear snapping away in the middle of the road!

Fun fact: The word 'lunatic' come from the latin word 'lunaticus' meaning "of the moon" or "moonstruck".
