Early or late?

Not blipped for about a week which is not good but life just kind of sweeps me along sometimes and then whoosh a whole week has gone. Hence today's photo being taken on my iPod (somewhat inexpertly!)

We're having a 'second' Christmas day this weekend which I am really looking forward to as my siblings, their partners and offspring and mum and dad are coming over. It's the first year I've hosted it so I hope I pass muster.

I've made this cake for my dad, my first ever foray into fruit cakes. He hasn't been happy that he has had to wait until after Christmas for it. I know that he'll also arrive with an empty tupperware box so that he can fill it full of other cakes as well!
