Is this cheating? Today was hectic and had little time to capture a blip. Then when washing my face in the toilet I saw this and was, as I always am, mesmerised....

This is a photo of a photo - one of my favourite in fact taken at 5am in December 2002 in a wooden canoe in the Mosquito jungle, western Honduras. Little did I know this was to be the start of an epic day .... One that would finish by being forced to make a raft out of bamboo, float downstream for 30 mins at dusk in a neighbouring river and end up sleeping on an island of stone, with Honduras one side and Nicaragua the other.

A veritable mans land .....
