And more memories, I used to shelter under this tree in bad weather during beating pheasants out of the woods close by for Major Dill....
A strange man with a strange name, we used to get a fiver for a mornings work running around shouting and hitting tin cans with sticks, to be honest thats probably what we would have been doing regardless of the work.
Then, 40 years ago this tree was majestic, now slightly sad and alone as the once vibrant hedges have been removed, leaving it exposed on the hill....
