I was introduced to The Stranglers, The Sex Pistols, Talking Heads AND to David Bowie by my school friend Chris. The records belonged to her older brother - Chris secretly taped them and then tapes were circulated amongst our group of refuseniks. My main contribution to this cultural circulation was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the book - that "wholly remarkable book"...).
