Cold market

It seemed like winter this morning - well, it is January, I suppose, but we've been spoilt with some lovely warm days. I have a market break from work as others have a coffee break and I bought this large mackerel and called in on friends for a chat. Then while I was back at my desk LoJ filleted the fish and cooked it with sautéed potatoes for lunch - delicious fish and chips!

The parsley is given free when you buy vegetables and fruit in the market - something which I now know from kendallishere's journal is called a lagniappe in the southern USA, a word that came originally from French.
