Happy new year ... And rest!

Happy New Year one and all. Mrs W and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2012.

After the last four days of hard hiking, the early start and long day yesterday, we had a lazy day mooching around Cusco.

As we headed into the food market Amy was horrified to see a street vendor with a bag full of roasted Guinea Pigs. I'm not quite sure what the Peruvian's fascination is with them, they taste just like chicken!

We have another morning in Cusco tomorrow and then we fly to Quito via Lima; judging by our last experience of Peruvian airport organisation I'm not expecting anything smooth, calm or easy.
