Brace yerself

Had a great night, plenty of sleep and feeling fine this morning. After the blip session, I stopped off and bought a bunch of bananas and had 25 for breakfast. Yes, sounds excessive, but I was very hungry and the bananas were only two inches long. Indonesia has many different types of banana, varying in length, but the tastiest are the small ones. Tedious to peel, but I am now an expert.

The photographic session at the common was short, only twenty minutes, but plenty of material from 90 shots. As planned, I went for the insect porn, but I also collected plenty of other shots of bugs, spiders, caterpillars, butterflies and dragons.

The blipped image is the first of a series of five shots and I have uploaded the series plus a couple of extras into folio for those interested in insect porn. I chose this blip because it ties in with the previous two blips, in that you can see a hint of the pink color of the body, under the wing of the female.

Bug sex is not easy, involving a lot of climbing, positioning, maneuvering, balance and manipulation, but they do end up more or less face to face which is unusual in the insect world. Romantic? Hmm, I need a shower after that session.
