American robin
Spent most of my lunch today at the pond trying to get a good shot of the remaining ring necked duck. I'm not sure if they're going to migrate elsewhere, so wanted a chance to blip him. Unfortunately he's just out of reach of my camera, at least for any decent shot. I will have to keep trying. My alternative was the two pairs of Northern Shovelers doing their circular feeding dance. It's interesting, and I've only seen them do it clockwise. So I had a bunch of shots in the can when I got back to the work campus and found a bunch of robins acting squirrely. I think spring might well be in the air (even though the forecast says snowstorm this weekend). I got a few shots off of this one sitting puffily in the tree. Crud, not what I was planning, but it's clearly the winner. Sigh. Hope I can get back to the pond later this week. It's supposed to be nice here till the snow hits.
Home now, dinner...and oh!!! A cherry pie for dessert. Don't mind if I do!
