beautiful cold day

the beauty of snow is misleading. it's clean, sparkly, majestic...but it's deathly. there was a double fatality last night just outside of town, and they've closed the road to Anchorage due to hazardous weather and avalanches. my parents are stuck in Anchorage. I wish they had flown, I will be worrying the whole time they are driving down.
