Home - at last!

Today we came home - and doesn't she look happy about it. (mind you, she's been asleep since we left hospital at 2 ish and has only just woken up at 9.)

Despite our best efforts to stay in - her hickman line split yesterday so it had to be repaired and then wait 24 hrs to see if it worked - we said our goodbyes and left.

We came back to hospital early yesterday morning for blood tests etc, and then was allowed back to the flat overnight. Back in today to check the line, last set of obs and a quick check over by our doctors and out the door we went. Whilst we are very happy to be home, we will miss our NHS family alot. They have been fantastic. We will be back down as day patients one day a week for a few weeks, and also in Gloucester once a week for continual back up care.

Spoke to Caitlin on the phone tonight as she's staying with her aunty Wendy, I said I would pick her up tomorrow. She asked if Daddy would be at hospital with Imogen, and when I said no and explained JimJam was home, I think she was a little pleased. Am looking forward to having both my girls home tomorrow. Think a cuddle day may be in order.
