The Crossroads at Hockmoor Head

On a walk from Newbridge we came to the crossroads where a horsewoman came riding down this curvaceous Devon lane. The walk passed through Hembury Woods and then like cotton thread on a needle we took a loop round a plce called Button before going through the delightful village of Holne, which is 'quite a long way from anywhere'. Afterwards we returned to Holne for tea and oat, raisin and cinnamon cakes in the community shop and tea rooms - highly recommended
