Woodstock Books

Called into our local bookshop to buy the next bookgroup read 'Snow'. As the woman who owns it said this should be seasonal but instead we have temperatures in double figures.

The shop has been a real inspiration to me. When it first opened I thought it had no chance -its tiny and in a small town. But the owner has cleverly integrated it into other literary interests in the town such as readings and clubs and gained a substantial loyal clientelle. I feel a bit ashamed at the number of books I brought on Amazon last year and am determined to buy most of my books local this year.
