Camilla Winter
They have bloomed.
I use them as a tale tell (learned the origins and meaning of this word while reading Moby Dick) just as others use the gopher (or wood chuck on other continents). The Camillas bloom and then soon there will be an ice storm that ends their bloomin' lives too early. And about that same time the largest flocks of birds (usually cardinals and starlings) will eat every red berry (which is substantial) from our two female American Holly trees (one on each side of the house) until there is not a single berry remaining, all happening in a very short time (about two to three hours) and while the feeding fest is going on the house is buffeted by the loudest racket of wings flapping and bird chirping (almost deafening ~ but not completely ~ and totally recoverable from). It is a spectacular and mesmerizing buffet event to witness. I look forward to this event every year. It is like standing in the middle of flying flock of birds and not getting shit on.
On another front ~
One laptop and one desktop has been hijacked by a particularly terrible virus. So both are requiring more attention than normal... and we are able to do less and less on-line activities (for now). So posts are faster, not the usual surfing over all the really great photos (<sad face>), and my comments are fewer (for a while). Hope to regain complete unfettered usage soon.
D#1 has sketched a scribble at the desktop stating "hackers and virus programmers are terrorists" ~ oh wait, that should be "HACKERS AND VIRUS PROGRAMMERS ARE TERRORISTS" with pictures of guillotines cutting off their hands and quote bubbles of "no less than five years!"
Virus Programmers, whoever you are ~ you are not being sent the LOVE right now... in case you are feeling a little bit poorly.
to the rest of ye, a 'ood day to you (<slight bend and imaginary hat doff>).
