Vanitas

Pasi Rauhala, Project Manager, died on 1 July 2011 at his home in Helsinki. Born in Lohja, Finland on 7 July 1948, Pasi was 63 years old. Pasi's childhood, surrounded by his mother and his siblings was a happy one. He also benefited from the love and care of a foster family when his own family came faced with difficult times. Later, during his marriage, he was to become father to a son. Pasi's life was good, everything was going to plan. But Lady Luck was about to deal him a terrible hand, just as things were at their best. The loss of his job came as a terrible blow. Accepting what had happened was not easy. Finally, Pasi withdrew into complete, hermit-like solitude in his small flat. I remember Pasi as a good and reliable friend, who was always willing to lend a hand. Even at his darkest hour, he never lost his sense of humour, as witnessed by his diaries. Hämeelinna 5 July 2011. You are very much missed, Rami & family
