Laothoe populi

Otherwise known as 'Poplar Hawk Moth'.

Ken found this outdoors today. He was handling it safely with some object but I thought i'd be braver and handle the beast with my hands.
It was fine until it started flapping it's wings and moving up my finger. I then started flapping my wings and shaking my hand violently to try and get it off. Sticky little bugger because it wouldn't budge, it just kept walking up my hand.

I'm alright now, i've got over the trauma of the flappy winged beast.
