Edgar will be pleased he doesn't have to sit for anothewr portrait until next month now. Though I don't see what he has to complain about. I used a tip offered by Flashead - to keep your subject still let them watch TV.

All he had to do was sit there and watch the football match. This works well as long as Arsenal doesn't score! Fortunately that doesn't happen that often. If he was watching Newcastle on the other hand, it would be a different matter.

The other stuff I was trying to do here was to isolate the figure from the background, by a mixture of lighting (torch to the front), focus and processing.

I've got a long way to go, but it's fun getting there.
