Simply Me

I will fight him, beard to beard

Chipper. This is a brilliant word and summed up how I started my day today. This is a daily mood calendar that a colleague bought me for Christmas - every time you experience a new mood, you change it do people know whether to approach you or leave you alone. I'm not sure what they're trying to say, other than I'm subject to mood swings!

The problem with starting your day as chipper, is that it can really only go downhill. It did. By the time I left work I was ready to kick someone in the shin. No reason for it at all! Hmm what did I just say about mood swings.

I was cheered up immensely by my evening's entertainment though. It was so bad that you had to laugh! C and I went to see a free film at fountainpark: Coriolanus. Wow, that was by far the worst film I have ever seen. In fact, I should still be there now. I walked out, it's the first film I've ever walked out of halfway through.

Don't get me wrong, I love Shakespeare and I think Ralph Fiennes is brilliant. But no. The story was set in modern day Rome, but it had no relevance to present day life. It simply did not translate from the play into a modern film. I loved the film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet with Leo DiCaprio and Clare Danes. It translated into modern day, yet still showed the brilliance of the play. Coriolanus did not. I can not recommend that you go see it.
