Wee Bird

I read some wildly conflicting reviews about Jessop's own branded x2 extender. At less than £80 I decided to take a chance so I could double up my 70-300mm to give it a 600mm reach.

I'm really impressed - it eats up 2 f stops and obviously it's not as sharp as a dedicated lens (and at the long end you can forget auto focus) but overall I'm really happy with it.

I'm looking forward to a sunny day to really see what it can do. I was hoping to try it on tonight's full moon, but it looks like the clouds are scuppering that plan.
