Voodoo art

A very impressive day: we went to the largest collection of voodoo art in the world (I refrained from posting the more controversial pieces with human skulls on crosses!). The old Swiss lady, Madame Lehmann, who owns them is also amazing and energetic for her age. 500 of the pieces are on tour in Europe now, but Madame Lehmann stores the other 3,000 in her small house in Petionville. She doesn't even have enough money to visit her own exhibit as she uses any spare cash to buy new pieces before they are destroyed. She started a foundation with Haitian colleagues and they are raising money to build a museum to properly house these pieces.
