Waiting for birds Chew Valley Lake

A last minute post New Year breath of fresh air before going back to work. I was hoping for some good duck sightings - to be expected on the lake in winter but this year it's been so mild if they were there they were hiding in the middle of the lake out of range of my binoculars. The sunset was nice though and the sound of thousands of rooks roosting on the island on the lake can't be captured in a photo. Neither can the image when you've only got a camera phone on you!

So - my new years resolution is to blip a photo at least once a week. Here's hoping!
