I Met Olivia Today

I was at the park and I asked a young mom if I could take pictures of her two adorable daughters.  Elizabeth, the little one, wasn't the least bit interested in me.  But Olivia...!

For some reason, on this bright, sunny day with my camera set on Auto, the flash kept going off.  Olivia was dazzled by the popping up of it on the camera and the way it 'sparkled'.

The three-year old squealed with delight each time and said 'again' over and over.  I even let her press the shutter release once so she could make it pop up.

She was a joy.  It wasn't hard to pick my blip for today.

I got my gas bill for that lousy, miserably cold December and it tripled from November and was double from the previous year.  The most I've ever paid for gas.  

I'm going to turn the heat off for the rest of the winter!  (Well...maybe not.)
