Loki Protests Against Planning

Last year my attempt to blog my way through the term failed pretty terribly. I managed two posts in the space of two days and then could not think of how to muddle together all my other random thoughts into proper sentences that made sense to anyone other than me.

As it is a New Year, and the new term started last Thursday for me, I have decided to try something else - photographing my way through the term. This is (maybe) more likely to happen semi-regularly as I don't need to write too much if I don't have time and there's that saying about a picture being worth a thousand words. Job done.

So for my first blip, the pressure is pretty intense. On top of the blip pressure I have Sunday night planning pressure before the first full week of school ahead of me. Urgh. Needless to say I am dithering between a bunch of different tasks and not doing any of them particularly well and wanting just to kick back, relax and play some Zelda.

As I felt the panic start to rise I spotted my wee kittycat Loki had moved himself on top of my school planning bag (the bag that carts various pieces of paper and work and lists back and forth to school every day) beside the novel for this term. He was obviously protesting the whole working thing as it means no cuddles and playing with him. Who am I to stand up to such an outright protest? There was nothing I could do except stop, make a cuppa and give my lovely cat a big ole cuddle.

(In other news The Wind Singer is a fantastic book! I read it last year in preparation for this term and utterly loved it. Probably being a geeky sci-fi/fantasy fan helps. I gave it out to my P6/7 class last Thursday and they are also really loving it which is great! It is so much fun to be excited and interested in the same thing as your pupils. If you haven't read it, I really recommend you do.)
