Leaving, on a jet plane
The holiday apartments look inviting in the morning sun (when I showed this picture to Matt and Andy at the airport, they looked almost comically sad) but it's time to say goodbye.
A three-hour drive to Milan, during which the boys wind each other up nicely. At Malpensa, we discover the car has to go back to a different terminal from ours: this is a pain, but at least I get to see the groovier side to the airport. As you can see, the boys were entranced by the entertainment facilities (a promotional video selling the benefits of wrapping your luggage in cling film).
Still, the flight is direct to Edinburgh, which is fantastic. Pick up Molly, sausage and mash for tea - ah, it's good to be home.
