Winter Berries

Today T and I had decided we were going to take a walk and look for photo opportunities to try out my new camera. The weather, however, had other ideas.

I was able to get out into the garden and take a couple of snaps of a lovely Silver Birch growing there (persistent despite the gale force winds of earlier in the week) and noticed these little white berries in the background of the shot. I switched to manual focus and managed to get the pic, which is straight out of the camera with no alteration. The pale salmon and green colours hint at Spring, while the decomposition of the berries recall the Autumn and Winter.
