Sad Day

This is the old "heidie's hoose" at our village school. The lovely old school building was destroyed in an arson attack in 2010, although the house wasn't damaged. The children have been taught in prefabricated buildings across the road since then.

The new school is to be bigger to cope with the expected influx from new housing developments planned for the area.
Whilst we need to move on and I would hate to be labelled a NIMBY, the old schoolhouse provided the chimneys in my sunrise blips from my doorstep! I hope the trees are safe!
