Warning : shoe purchase in progress

I have been looking to buy a pair of winter shoes off and on for close on 10 years. It is something I have mentioned here before, my shoe purchasing habits are pretty unremarkable, it goes like this.

I buy shoes
I wear shoes
I wear shoes
I wear shoes
I wear shoes
for years and years
I wear shoes
I wear shoes
etc ad nauseum
I wear shoes
I wear shoes

Eighteen years later
I buy new shoes

So I got some new shoes. That doesn't mean I'll be getting rid of the old ones, oh no.
