This is the island of Foula and the Vee skerries, taken from Eshaness. These skerries were the scene of a tragic shipwreck in 1930 when the Aberdeen trawler "Ben Doran" ran onto the rocks and was lost with all hands. Many boats came to try to rescue the crew, who could be seen on deck, but they were not able to approach close enough to get anyone off.
You can just make out the lighthouse that was erected following this dissaster.
