Re-cycling-the Great Bike Shed in the Sky

Finally G agreed to part with his old bicycle, which he has had for over 40 years, and this afternoon we took it to the Great Bike Shed in the Sky aka Polmaise Re-cycling centre.

We had to queue to get in.

Half of Stirling seemed to be there busy filling up landfill containers with discarded consumer goods.

I had hoped to get a blip pic of all the activity but it was clear folk did not want to be photographed throwing away their used possessions.

This is a pity for it was an extraordinary scene, the opposite of a few weeks ago when we were all on a Christmas spending spree.
