Gasometer

We went to buy a new clothes line today. Next to the DIY store is this old gasometer, I remember this from my childhood. It used to store the old town gas and it would rise and fall depending on the amount of gas inside.

Even though it's no longer used I think it adds something to the skyline and is quite striking. Long may it remain.

The clothes line turned out to be a nightmare episode, nothing ever goes quite to plan does it? Eventually got it sorted......
