Goodbye not so old friend

Today I sold my little Peugeot 106 GTi. I had bought it last year after spotting it in absolutely perfect condition on the forecourt of a local garage. It was a seminal car of my youth - a car that as a teenager I couldn't afford, let alone insure.

I was nervous that after such a build up in my mind it might be a let down but it has been anything but that. A joy to drive and a hoot when I've let it fly round the local back lanes.

The 106 GTi will be missed. However with no safety ratings to speak of (it would most definitely come off worst in an accident) and no ISOFIX it was not a family car and we are most definitely going to need a family car - and soon.

Bye bye little car!
