Jed's
one of the things i love about living in bondi is that it's chockablock with independent, quirky, wonderful cafes and bars. each has it's own character. all of them serve seriously delicious food, in our experience thus far. Jed's is typical of many of the cafes around here in that, although they would make really lovely, intimate bars, it closes early evening. it's all about the breakfast. i love the breakfast culture too.
however, the reason i blipped this, wasn't to ramble on about the fab cafes around here. it was actually to convey the architecture of the area. in only a few months of living here, i feel like i'm forgetting what buildings are like at home. here, they're a hotch potch of everything under the sun (quite literally under the sun, woohoo). art deco, like this building's facade (out of the shot mainly) is super common. i'm beginning to feel really familiar with this retro style feel - although some may describe it as dated, i really like it. that's not to say i don't miss the history of old buildings and beautiful architecture in edinburgh, but it's a fun contrast.
things i love about bondi today: sunshine - the climate cannot help but warm up your bones and your soul. the beach - always love the beach and the pretty consistent surf as far as our experience goes. and of course, the abundance of quirky little eateries.
have a good saturday everyone back home x
