Baked Alaska

Tonight we hosted a family get together with an Alaskan theme.

Why the theme? A few episodes of Northern Exposure on dvd, Sarah Palin and some ear muffs that I saw online were the influences.

Here is the dessert - baked Alaska. I didn't try to do the brandy and flaming thing due to concern about igniting the house. But it was good in any case.
