*yawn*

exhausted after mega shift friday, then had to get up and get the train to glasgow today - engineering works made me late (changed times, 1hr20min for a 50min journey), technical crap meant i had to log on to three different machines before i could start work, and then stayed late to make up the time, then took 1hr30min to do the 50min trip back and so i didn't get home til almost midnight. and in between i read lots and lots and lots of words very carefully.

people outside of my niche world look at me strangely when i say i am exhausted after a shift, but you use your brain so hard it feels like you've run a marathon some nights. think about concentrating really hard on an essay or exam paper when you were at school, or reading a complicated paper for work - tough? i do that for eight hours a day. my little brain is fried.

counting down to the 'weekend' on tues 7 weds - it can't come fast enough.
