Pit Stop

Brief rest at home between islands to wash some socks, watch the rain fall and decide where we're heading next on our cycling trip. And of course to post the past few days blips.

Really enjoyed the cycling so far. Used to cycle a fair bit and we went off for a few short holidays on bikes before the boys were born but haven't done anything since. Now that they can both cycle further than me we reckoned it was time to get back on tour. Not that we've gone very far but it's been fun so far.

Needless to say I was left at the rear of the pack for most of the trip. But my bum, my legs and my lungs all held up fine. Unlike my arms and shoulders, they ache like hell!

Today was spent giving the bikes a good clean and getting the sand out of the gears. My poor old bike must have got the shock of it's life, the dirt of centuries was removed and bits that I don't know the name of are running free and easy.

Apart from that all we did was eat chocolate chip cookies whilst catching up on the other Tour. This holiday lark is hard work!!
