The fortress!

I ve often wondered what these buildings are...it turns out to be the Scottish government based in St Andrews House. The nelson monument appears on the left on Calton hill...its a commemorative tower in honour of Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson, It was built between 1807 and 1815 to commemorate Nelson's victory over the French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
