Busy day today: started with some yard work with my dad, taking down Christmas lights and cutting away some of the garden to allow for rejuvenation next spring. After that, we went on a great walk with Seamus through the neighborhood--it was nearly 70 degrees! Also helped Leah with an essay she is working on for a school organization--she is a fantastic writer and I am so proud of her continual accomplishments. Ended the night when I took the train into town and had some beers with my old friend Katie who I used to work with in Alaska--she is now a public defender lawyer living here in Denver. Friday night I am staying with Stef and Jason for the last time for I leave back to the Fort on Sunday.
