I know I said today would be a self portrait - but i saw this skyline and i couldn't resist. You shall have your self portrait tomorrow instead.
I don't know if any of you are a fan of Calvin and Hobbes, but this photo reminds me of the comic stip where they find a dead bird. Click here to view itstrip. I've typed up the text of the comic below. For those who don't know Calvin is an imaginative six-year old boy, and Hobbes, is his energetic and sardonic?albeit stuffed?tiger.
Look a dead bird.
It must have hit the window.
Isn?t it beautiful - it?s so delicate.
Once it?s too late? only then do you appriciate what a miracle life is.
You realise that nature is ruthless, and our existance is temporary, fragile and precious.
But to go on with your daily affairs - you can?t really think about it.
..which is probabaly why we take the world for granted and we act so thoughtlessly.
It?s very confusing.
I suppose it will all make sense when we grow up.
No doubt.
