At an old store

While shopping today with my sister in law, we went to this store for some art supplies that she wanted. A rather old one since, as the owner told us he has been at the same location for 15 years while the business was in his family for more than 100! I immediately noticed this old scale. I hadn't seen a similar one for a long time and it brought back memories from my childhood when we would visit my grandfather in a small village at the north of Greece and in his store he would have a similar scale.

The one thing that I bought was a painting easel. However it is not that I do any painting but rather for "reading" photography albums. Some time ago I found (from an article I read online) that to read a photography album a good way would be to spent some time with each photograph and this could be done by displaying the book opened for a while. This way it might take me a few weeks, or more, to get though but I really enjoy it a lot more.
