I really do not need charities wasting their resources contacting me to tell me how much my donations have made them in GiftAid. Surely they have better things to do?

Barnardos at least allow you to request this update by email, but still they had to put the system in place to enable it! Again, would they not be better spending this cash on the people that need it?

Perhaps it's a legal requirement? Perhaps, as the government probably expect an extensive paper trail anyway it is just as easy to pop off an email in the process? Perhaps.

In the meantime, thanks to our benefactor today. The donation of Dutch confectionary was well received by those in the family that particularly like these things!
