Monopoly....a game for all

Finlay received Cars Monopoly as a gift from his Nana at Christmas and has asked to play it every day since. We finally broke the wrapper off the box today and set it up to play.

My observations of the game were different from normal playing it with children I realised how good the game was for helping to develop Finlays numeracy skills but that it was a very long game for a 2 year old to play (even though she coped well with all the rules).

This picture was taken of Finlay at a point in the game when Mummy was losing and Finlay had a 3 piles of money in front of him and he was doing well. Although the framing of the shot is off I think it does capture the excitement he was feeling at playing his game.
