Back to School...

Today was the first day back at College after the Christmas break.

So far it has not been too bad (apart from the usual public transport traumas this morning - don't you love it when they cancel your train whilst you're on it and are halfway to your destination!?).

Here is my friend Gemma, still looking pretty happy! We have been friends since I said hello to her in the registration queue on our first day at University and I have been trying to shake her off ever since. Wierdly our lives have run parallel to each others since then - at University we even used to get exactly the same marks in exams, even though we would sit at opposite ends of the exam hall because otherwise I would be too distracted by her. There was one exam though, where we were told that there were 15 minutes remaining and we both looked up at each other and realised we had worked out our timings wrongly. We are both hoping to be lawyers, as long as we get through this year at College with no mishaps! We were even offered jobs at the same firm together, but we had to turn them down :(
She is a star, and I am lucky to have a friend like her :)
