Vernons Pools

My mum dug out this old scrap of family history... dated 8th April 1967, my Dad had won the pools! A whole 536 pounds and 2 shillings. In those days it was a fortune I gather and a lot of excitement ensued apparently. I've no idea how old money worked, my mum said those were the days of LSD, with no hint of irony at all.
