I went to the football tonight - with my sister in law. When I visited her a few weeks ago I was telling her how much I enjoyed going to watch Newcastle United play. She said she would like to go to a match with me - the last time she had been to watch Newcastle play was over 30 years ago. So I bought 2 tickets for tonight's game against Manchester United ...... £45 each!

The weather was windy, it was rainy, it was cold but the game was great. We won 3 - 0 and the atmosphere inside the ground was tremendous. After the match over 50,000 Toon fans dispersed around the city - soaking wet and windswept but very, very happy.

My sister in law enjoyed herself - and wants to go again.
