Special!

The most fascinating development I've noticed with my 11 year old son since starting High School is he has got over his 'I can't draw' hurdle. For as long as I can remember he has refused to draw and created a right ruckus if pushed to do so in anyway. So it was lovely to see him doodling and drawing. Last term he produced some really great work and he will spend hours drawing. From going to 'can't draw' to doing amazing sketches and drawings has been an interesting process to witness and it's lovely seeing a new creative side develop.

He was treated to lots of art stuff for Christmas and his little 'office area' in his bedroom is turning in to a studio. So I really smiled this morning when I went in to his room and saw this...I've not had the heart to pull him up on the mis-spelling of Pencil..well not yet...anyhow!
