Snowy reflections

A late start arriving in Big Bear in the afternoon to what began a life changing couple of days for the boys, Callum skiing for the first time and Reuben breaking all the rules, adaptive skiing.

I watched as Callum donned his skis, clicking his toe then heal into place, slide up to the chairlift with Jason and away he was gone. Later, watching him plough down the mountain towards Reuben and I, standing, patiently, yet eagerly awaiting his little head emerge round the corner, bobbing away in his shiny black helmet.
