A drenching!

Only a couple of nights ago I was talking to a friend who had had a lot of rain in her neck of the woods over the past few days.

"We haven't had any in weeks...." I said, somewhat gloatingly. (actually, it was late June!)

"What you think about, you bring about"

Oops!! I shouldn't have thought about rain, let alone said anything!

It rained here overnight - all night! - then there was a torrential downpour for half an hour or so this morning. It had the drains spewing fountains of storm water two feet into the air, torrents running down hillside roads, rocks and boulders detaching themselves from cliffs and tumbling across the main road into town and waves crashing over the same main road.

These guys were taking a look at the spectacle along the road the same time I was. I couldn't resist stopping to try and catch a wave crashing over them. Well, if I'd already had one crash over me it was only fair a blipped it happening to someone else!!

It looks like a b/w shot but is actually in glorious full colour!! That's how grey a day it's been.

I've blipped another stormy scene along this road before too....
