The W.I.

The middle of last year we had a lady admitted onto the ward with a suspected minor stroke, thankfully she recovered very quickly but during her time on the unit she met Roo, she asked me if I ever gave lectures on the subject of pets as therapy as she was involved with the women's institute.

Oh yes I told her not expecting to hear anything again as I had never given a talk since school days the thought had always filled me with dread.

Well this morning I attended my first W.I. talk along with my faithful friend.

I did the talk he got all the credit, but I'm not bitter just proud of him as he sat for an hour being hugged and kissed by 60 ladies,this young lady had come along with her gran and had sat on the back row, she was very excited and kept standing up to see him when I had finished I asked her if she would like to hold him, you can see what the answer was.
